Grain — Every off-grid node on the market ships in a 3D-printed shell or a generic IP65 box. This one is real, traceable tropical hardwood — and species rotates by batch, so no two are identical.
Color — Greenheart olive, purpleheart violet, mora red, wamara rosewood — the case is the species card. A thin ember accent runs the seam.
Working — Two-piece clamshell on brass standoffs, OLED window in the lid, antenna and USB-C pass-throughs. The board drops in; the wood does the talking.

The flywheel in your hand: a tree is felled in the Guyanese interior; the prime cuts become lumber; the offcuts feed a gasifier; that power mines Bitcoin; the miners’ heat dries the next batch — and from that same stock, a small block becomes the case for a mesh radio. A word on wood: the enclosure is a natural material — species and grain vary by batch, and each unit ships with a card identifying its wood, origin, and figure. Dimensions may vary slightly; the wood will deepen with light and time. That is not a defect. That is the point. (Electronics are tested and pre-flashed; the wood is the part that lives.)
